Reza Saffari said here on Saturday that upon observing oil pollution in Arvand Rud last week, two teams were sent to the region from Abadan ports and maritime Organization.
The spills were evacuated from the river surface to tanks prepared by Abadan Refinery Company, he added.
Saffari added that this oil pollution was scattered and now no pollution is seen on Arvand Rud River.
Arvand Rud River is one of the Iran-Iraq Border Rivers, located in Khorramshahr and Abadan.
