Ayatollah Javad Mojtahed Shabestari told IRNA on Saturday that unity among Muslims was a necessity for the Islamic World today and, issue in a sense, the first and foremost.
He said that the issues that the Muslim World is experiencing today, like the situation in Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon, would be solved if the Islamic World unites.
Muslim unity doesn’t mean that Sunni convert to Shiism or vice versa, the cleric stressed, noting that unity means that Muslims should avoid highlighting differences.
