Ayatollah Khamenei’s decision came on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) and Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS), upon a request by Iran’s Judiciary Chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, the IRNA reported on Monday.
Earlier, Mohseni-Ejei had requested pardon or commute of the sentences of 2,284 who were found guilty of crimes by Iranian courts.
