In an interview with Sepehr-e-Gharb correspondent, Mr. Kalvandi remarked," The flight from Hamedan to Kish lsland will be carried out either in the second half of January or early February. The program includes two flights per week and its timing will be announced later." The flights are due to occur on Sundays and Wednesdays. If passengers in Hamedan are pleased, the connection transfer will be held between Hamedan, Qeshm Island and Shiraz. The manager emphasized that the airport would seek to offer services to the pilgrims of Holy Shrines in Najaf and Karbala, lraq. He noted that talks had been held with the office of the Hajj and Pilgrimage, yet no agreement had been reached. The flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia might be launched provided that travel agencies and Hamedani citizens offered their assistance. The manager added," Hamedan Airport has gained the first place in terms of the infrastructure in the west part of the country; furthermore, its runway is well-primed to accommodate the heavey aircraft because it has been used by the big airplanes when pilgrims to Mecca flew to Saudi Arabia."
