FM Spokesman: Noble Iran Never to Accept Captivity

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Abbas Mousavi said that Iranians have become champions of breaking various chains, adding that the noble Iran cannot be captivated.

“The crises are a criterion for evaluation of nations. Iranians have become champions of breaking the chains of dependence, sanctions and pandemic,” Mousavi tweeted on Saturday on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of liberation of Khorramshahr from the yoke of the Iraqi occupation during the 8-year Holy Defense.

He added that the ever-shining sun and the upright palm trees of Khorramshahr are the true narrators of epics of freedom.

The spokesman noted that the noble Iran can never be captivated and it is a mistake to try what has already been tried.

President Hassan Rouhani also glorified the day of liberation of Khorramshahr city in the Iranian history, adding that Iranian nation will not forget this day.“It is an important day and the Iranian people always remember that day,” Rouhani said on Saturday.

He noted that after the liberation of Khorramshahr the Iranian nation proved that their resolve will overcome every obstacle even if the enemies possess the most advanced weapons.

Earlier in relevant remarks, Iranian First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri praised the nation's resistance at different junctures in time, stressing that unity and faith will materialize every impossible.Jahangiri made the remarks through a twitter message on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of liberation of Khorramshahr during the 8-year war imposed by the US through Saddam of Iraq.

That unity turns the impossible into possible was a great lesson for all after the liberation of Khorramshahr, the vice-president stressed.

“Liberation of Khorramshahr breathed new life in the Iranian people,” he tweeted.
